Lines in the Sand: What Led to the Formation of the State of Israel?
Without crucial support from the Anglo-American elite, who had geostrategic aims of their own, and without Britain’s declarations of war against Germany and Turkey
in 1914, and against Germany in 1939, no State of Israel would have come into existence, no matter how wealthy were Jews in the West and no matter how active the Zionists in
Europe, America and Palestine from the beginning of the 20th century. This talk will focus on the responsibility of the British and American elites who enabled the creation of the State of Israel in 1948 for their own purposes.
Understanding how the State of Israel came about through the actions of western elites helps us understand why they are so keen to maintain that State in existence.
